No. 11 Penn State rode big plays to 21 straight points in the second half on the way to a 35-21 win over No. 8 Utah in the Rose Bowl.
After the two teams were tied 14-14 at halftime, PSU freshman running back Nick Singleton broke off an 87-yard run to put the Nittany Lions up by seven in the third quarter.
Less than 10 minutes later, QB Sean Clifford found WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith behind the entire Utah secondary for an 88-yard TD. The longest pass play in Rose Bowl history gave Penn State (11-2) a two-TD lead that was insurmountable for a Utah team that lost Cam Rising in the Rose Bowl for the second consecutive season.

Miami looks like fools for firing Manny Diaz. In close games, as the time winds down, the pressure winds up.
W/ Drew Allar taking over, PSU is going to be a popular futures bet to get to or win the cfp next year. Get in now.
I wasn't happy w/ the garbage TD by UT against the backups, but whatever. I also thought it was cool that every player and coach left the busses going into the stadium wearing #34 PSU Franco Harris jerseys.
I wonder if Caleb had “F___ Tulane” on his fingernails?
Serves him right.
Everybody knows Duggan deserved The Heisman.
As one who went to PSU at the height of the JoePa era, it was refreshing to see the Nittany Lions return to their prominence without the “asterisk” of the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
Then Damar Hamlin collapsed, and I don’t care anymore.
Yep
Yeah - I was there for both NC’s. Joe was actually my athletic director for 2 years. He didn’t like non-revenue producing sports. We were down to getting books and Roy Rogers coupons. Hah.
It took JoePa longer. Do ya know why?
JoePa refused to pass.
Bwahahaha...WE ARE...
No, Caleb deserved the Heisman. But he's just one man. Sadly, the Trojan defense let him down. I was yelling into the TV screen, "come on, tackle him" as Tulane ball carriers sauntered past our lackadaisical defenders.
Tulane beat us for the first time since they blew out a mediocre Trojan team in the opening game of the 1942 season.
Maybe Tulane should rejoin the SEC.
Why? I know, it's about your sensitive feelings.
When Stingly from the Pats was taken off the field {paralyzed from the neck down} the game was postponed until the ambulance got off of the field.
No one wants to see an athlete injured but this crying and whining by every TV talking sports gabber makes me sick.
Two cops were shot outside of Pittsburgh {one is dead} nobody gives it a second thought.
I have had a couple of TV sports shows on this AM and the whining and fake crying and hand wringing by former players is pure bullshit.
If they feel that strongly about the violence in football {more feelings} don't participate.
Just cancel the rest of the season and end pro football and all of the sensitive folks can sleep in peace.
“...He didn’t like non-revenue producing sports...”
In other words, all the women’s sporting events (except maybe gymnastics and beach volleyball).
Happy for Big 10.
They were still in the SEC during our two previous encounters--in 1942 (then they won) and 1946 (when we won).
