That was my point; it didn't look bad, but it was. Same with this hit.

I have been texting with one of the nursing faculty at a site we support who is a critical care RN. The good doctor’s correct - she said intubation is part of the ACLS protocol. So there may not be any conclusions to be drawn from that.
ESPN reports he is in critical condition.

The basic policy of the NFL is to play each suspended game at a rescheduled time/date (within 48 hours of the postponement) if at all possible. With playoff spots and Division titles on the name, the game will almost certainly resume at some point after tonight.
If this was Colts vs Texans, it definitely would have been cancelled.

Interesting reactions from ESPN announcers and players. Football is often compared to war. Players are depicted as warriors. In real war, soldiers must deal with death and injury of their fellow soldiers and still perform. Maybe the public will gain a greater respect for the sacrifice and valor of the military, law enforcement, first responders, and firefighters.

I agree with you. We can’t say what occurred here but to ignore that so many athletes have died ‘suddenly’ while exerting themselves is ostrich-like. There must be statistical analysis of this; that is a comparison of occurrences before and after Covid hit and vaccination started?
I've watched the video several times. It appears to me that he was the one tackling, rather than being the one tackled and hit. Even CNN has the story as: "Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field Monday night after making a tackle in the first quarter of the Bills game against..."
Link here: https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/02/football/damar-hamlin-buffalo-bills-collapse/index.html
We have to stop ignoring the obvious and start facing the issue and figuring out a way to deal with the heart and blood clot issues that are apparently having a major effect on people who have been vaccinated. It seems that a sudden burst of energy can trigger these episodes which is why athletics and those that are involved in strenuous exercise seem to be affected more than those who live a more sedentary lifestyle. It took decades before physicians took notice of concussion-injury caused problems in footballs players who took repeated hard hits in the head. You would think this issue would seem to at least cause some bit of concern.
It is not just football players, but also swimmers, surfers, runners, basket-ball players etc. I'm getting tired of reading the "dropped dead suddenly" and "died unexpectedly" stories in athletes under the age of 40, and the media saying "nothing to see here, this is normal". This is NOT normal!

WHEN I WAS A KID A BUNCH OF US WOULD GET TOGETHER AT A FRIENDS HOUSE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS AND WATCH THE FIGHTS, LIVE. I THINK IT WAS SPONSORED BY GILLETTE. ONE NIGHT WE WATCHED BENNY ‘THE KID’ PARET, DROP TO THE MAT AND START TO CONVULSE. WE ALL KNEW HE WAS IN DEEP TROUBLE, HE HAD BEEN GETTING HIS BRAIN BEAT OUT BY EMIL GRIFFITH, WHO HAD DONE THE SAME TWICE BEFORE, AND WAS DONE ALSO BY GENE FULLMER, A WEIGHT CLASS JUST ABOVE HIM, A FEW MONTHS BEFORE. PARET WAS TAKEN TO A HOSPITAL, NEVER REGAINED CONSCIOUSNESS AND DIED A WEEK OR SO LATER.
STILL REMEMBER THE SIGHT OF HIM BEING PUMMELED IN THE CORNER, OUT ON HIS FEET AND THE REF NOT STOPPING THE FIGHT.
OF COURSE, TAKING A HIT IN FOOTBALL IS NOT ANYTHING LIKE A PRO FIGHTER BANGING YOUR HEAD FOR WHAT SEEMED FOREVER.

Would you remain conscious for the time he did after the tackle if your heart had been stopped.. even standing up?

Yes. It is common for the player to no realize they have been hurt. The heart stops beating. Your brain and adrenaline keep you going for a few seconds. Then you drop like a puppet with cut strings.
To: HollyB
"It said collapsed, not died." Wrong. It said "dies", not "collapses" when I posted it.
I copied and pasted it exactly the way it was stated at the time I found the video. I posted it 5 minutes after the video went online. It's now been an hour. I'll let you figure out what may've caused the change.

But you all need to advance your agenda no matter whatYou get paid to advance someone else's agenda here. At least the agenda we advance is our own. Also we attach our agenda to reality. You want people to believe that all the athletes and celebrities dropping over are normal. Truth is correspondence to reality.

“Never dive into water before checking the depth... he learned that lesson from it.”
Charles Krauthammer, now deceased, was a contributor to Fox Cable News for many years, had a diving accident when in college and hit the bottom of the pool, broke his neck and was paralyzed from the waist down and wheelchair bound for the rest of his life. He dove into a too shallow pool.
