“The actual effect demonstrated on the MedCram videos is suppression of the TLR4 response. Breaking that chain reduces damage from related cytokines.”
How?
“And most of that doesn’t get past the epidermis. I don’t think so.”
Near infrared in the range being discussed is mostly a higher frequency than water’s absorption spectrum. As such, significant penetration can occur. This characteristic is utilized in certain industrial heating applications where H2O is involved.
COVID is not a scam. Healthcare workers who cared for victims as well as sufferers will assure you of that
IT IS A SCAM using colds and flu to scare the public. I do know nurses who know its a scam
They even have you believing it.
YES there was a very bad cold virus that we had not yet built immunity to. Yes it could result in deadly Pneumonia BUT THERE WAS NO WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC, the numbers were all faked by a "PCR test"
See EVENT 201
I wouldn't feel so bad being suckered , the entire world fell for it. Many still believe in spite of available facts.
Nah. He’ll die, but with an award winning crop of hair!
Agreed. Businesses are selling “lights” at certain wavelengths which are highly effective against COVID germs on surfaces. But can’t be had at reasonable prices.
And how does 0.0029 w/cm2 do anything? At the molecular level that is ZIP!
What is the mechanism?
I saw a video on MedCram, I think, showing that maybe it wasn’t Vitamin D that helped with Covid resistance, but exposure to Near Infrared light (Vitamin D was just along for the ride).
NIR seems to be a positive. I wonder if the radiant heaters you can buy would supply the right wavelengths.
According to this NIR light helps Vitamin D production.
https://www.kaiyanmedical.com/post/red-light-therapy-vitamin-d-production
"In one study published in Scientific Reports, it found that LED lights are more efficient than sunlight at producing vitamin D3 in skin samples. Tyler Kalajian and his team found that skin samples exposed to LED for 0.52 minutes produced more than twice as much vitamin D3 than samples exposed to 32.5 minutes of sunlight."
This article also says NIR light helps build vitamin D levels quickly as opposed to months for supplements.
The video for this thread mentioned Vitamin D but focused more on Melatonin. It goes into possible mechanisms.
I think they are both Vitamin D and Melatonin are very helpful for Covid.
I just bought this NIR Belt over Christmas for $80. It's now $61. It's got two wavelengths 660nm and 850nm.
"Infrared Light Therapy for Muscle Pain Relief-Improvement Metabolism"
Ultra violet light to kill germs on surfaces has been known for a long time.
Various health benefits of infrared light have also been known.
But this might be the first randomized controlled trial that tested NIR light with covid patients.
Wrong spectrum?
“According to this NIR light helps Vitamin D production.”
Scam site.
LED lights safer, more effective in producing Vitamin D3 than sunlight - 2017
“According to this NIR light helps Vitamin D production.”
Scam site! It’s references are studies of UV LEDS!
UVB produces vitamin D.
Infrared does not produce vitamin D.
“they are quoting ScienceDaily.com which was an article by Boston University Medical.”
Sucked you right in!
Read the study. UV LEDS! Not infrared LEDs.
Okay, I see what you are saying.
The Medcram video this thread is about talked more about Melatonin production than vitamin D. I don’t remmember what it said specifically about vitamin D.
The Kaiyanmedical.com site I referenced on Near Infrared boosting Vitamin D production did reference Boston University articles about UV light not Near Infrared.
So it looks like you are right, Kaiyanmedical.com is misrepresenting the Boston University study.
My daily intake is D3 10000IU and K2 500 mcg. I take 400 mg magnesium daily that helps with the D3 absorption and prevents cramped calf muscles.
The "red light therapy" approach uses infrared, not ultraviolet. High intensity infrared can be effective into the chest cavity. The TLR4 suppression is helpful for those infected with SARS-CoV-2. It also reduces inflammation from other causes. Wavelengths are typically 660 to 850 nm.
My local "Sunsations" business has a stand-up red light booth. 7 kilowatts of red light lasting 12 minutes per session. A vibrating plate functioning through the feet is included to improve circulation. It helps my arthritis when I make time to do it. They charge $80 for 10 sessions. I couldn't build anything as good as I can rent from them at that price.
