I still have a houseful of family, so I got up extra early today for breakfast prep. They’re all JUST waking up now - I hear movement upstairs!
They will be leaving this morning to make additional ‘visiting rounds’ and they leave tomorrow afternoon from Chicago. We had a family wedding last night, so that’s why they’ve been here since Wednesday. (Beau’s only Sister, her husband and two kids.) They had some delays getting here, but the weather has turned warm-ish again (40’s) and no snow predicted, so flying back to GA should be easy. The Nephew visiting is originally from Guatemala, so seeing snow was really fun for him. Beau also took him coyote hunting, so he’s had a lot to absorb on this trip. Mainly seeing how his ‘farmer relatives’ live. ;)
Our horse-farm neighbor gave us a lovely tour of her facility one afternoon. There were plenty of horses to pet and feed treats to, and five cattle dogs (Blue Healers) and lots of barn cats, so the kids really enjoyed that.
