-—cardiac arrest may have happened:? Certainly not the vax, no sir, no way, huh uh. The description of the way the kid went down sounds just like the clotshotter fail where the first reaction or sign of a problem is where the shotter looks sideways or jerks back, then goes down sideways or backward. It’s like they know there’s a problem, try to figger it out for a second, then the lights go out.
In this case, as described, the kid made the tackle, got up feeling happy, it wasn’t a hard hit, just a typical wrap-’em-up tackle with a bump in the chest area, obviously didn’t hurt himself, then the lights went out.

A small aspect that’s biting on me is the media geniuses saying his vital signs are normal. WWWeeeellll, being knocked out is not a normal vital sign. By all accounts so far he’s being fed OXY. Again, not a normal vital sign. Not being able to breathe on your own is not “normal vital signs.”

In my ball playing days I got the wind knocked out of me once. My vital signs pretty much sucked for about 30seconds, there.

I wish the kid all the best and I also hope for an accurate description of the failure. But notice how the NFL is doing their dambdest to avoid the whole conversation. I think in every game I saw this year at least one player went on “concussion protocol.” The helmets have been good for at least six decades and my suspicion is they’re using the protocol to hide brain fog. Back in the day I laid hits on guys as hard as anybody ever has. But nobody ever got concussed——mad, sore, bloody, toothy, maybe, but never concussed.

Laid into a fellow in Frosh squad with my Thorpe helmet.

Helmet to helmet.
Cracked his but, no worse for wear.
