Textbooks are often deemed authoritative sources of information necessary for education. These learning materials include the latest scientific findings to reflect societal changes and show how knowledge has grown over time. They play a critical role in how educators tackle certain topics to educate their students in classroom settings.
Since curricular content has been shown to influence students’ knowledge of environmental issues, it’s essential to analyze how textbooks frame and discuss the pressing issue of climate change.
But, as it turns out, climate change coverage hasn’t changed drastically in science textbooks over the last 50 years, despite how much scientists have learned about the phenomena currently affecting and will continue to affect the entire planet.
Overall, it’s necessary to improve climate change coverage in textbooks so that students can understand how environmental issues shape everyday life as they know it. But at the very least, says Henderson, textbook authors and publishers should have a background in climate change science.
“Creating instructional materials is a very complex and difficult job; we’re certain that there’s no intention to underrepresent environmental issues,” says Landin. “We hope this study will help authors and publishers in the future. The easiest approach is to review the balance of topics and the expertise of authors of introductory biology materials.”

They still around?? It has to be 25 years or more since I cancelled my subscription after they found Global Warming Religion.
And around 1900 they believed an Ice Age was imminent.
Our climate is controlled by sunspot activity. The sun has “seasons”. The cycle is 11 years. Sunspot activity increases for 11 years, then drops off. But not to where it was at the beginning of the cycle. It ratchets up again.
About every 30 years, it alternates between warming and cooling on Earth. The warmists knew it was going to warm up in the 90’s, so Mann, University of East Anglia, and NASA scientists knew it was a good time to “cook the books” using a few tree rings to develop the Hockey Stick. They pulled it off, but most of us didn’t fall for it and their emails were leaked, so they cpuldn’t claim they “solved” the problem.

The reason why there is so little coverage is that “climate science” doesn’t fit into any “scientific field “ taught at the undergraduate level. It’s not physics, nor chemistry nor biology. There are some schools who teach meteorology or the equivalent.
The solar wind prevents or limits cosmic rays from hitting our atmosphere. Cosmic rays cause clouds to form at high altitudes, cooling the earth. When the sun is at solar minimum (fewer sunspots) the earth is cooler.
We are at a grand solar minimum. My farmer friends comment about it always being cloudy, and they have never seen it like this.
The Little Ice Age lasted from about 1300 to 1850. It was started by the sun going quiet.
Textbooks can’t keep up with the ever changing and hysterical climate change fraud
Thanks your reality reply!!!
“ Textbooks are often deemed authoritative sources of information necessary for passing tests.”
Textbooks are often deemed libtard sources of propaganda necessary for indoctrinating students.
Fixed it
Alchemists have been putzing around trying to prove that carbon dioxide is the cause of climate change. They have yet to find out that you cannot change lead into gold.
They have failed because there is another, more powerful and plentiful greenhouse gas that IS the cause of climate change. You see it every time you look up into the sky and see a cloud.
Water vapor, aerosols, the Sun and its cyclical activity, and the oceans acting as heat sinks, are the cause of climate change, NOT a trace gas.
Too many politicians ignore science because it is easier to be godlike and decide what the world should be and do. Communists love that approach.
