I rent a farmhouse built in 1920....no insulation. Heat is set at 64. Had a windy day yesterday and everytime a gust blew, the furnace kicked on. Wind is a nightmare as it blows through the house. We have plastic on the windows but not the walls. ;-)
We keep the bathroom door closed with an electric heater on in the room. It gets down to 56 in there so it's a must to have the heater. It's a toasty 70 and everyone loves that room.

My house was built in 1930. Same situation with the insulation and thermostat setting--64.
But I'm near San Diego. It's 61 here, going up to 66. 72 projected for Christmas Day.
