We had a 40°F temp drop with blowing snow Thursday. Was -7°F to -3°F that night/morning depending on the reporting service in neOK/nwARk. Friday it was +7°F during most of the day and evening was around +5°F.

This general area has seen a lot worse for a lot longer. In previous winters we have had below -0°F temps for a week. Several of the previous ones had a 50°F to 60°F temp drop in a few hours.

Luckily, this 'freeze' is a short one.

That fence post in Kansas doesn't do much to slow one of the blue-northers.

Next Thursday the forecast is for 65°F.
