Well, a difficult question, because that would actually be a lie also. Next, little Jimmy will be praying nightly, “and God bless Mommy, and Daddy, and please give me a bicycle, Amen.”

I know that that is not what you mean.

Then why thank God for Blessings? Afterall, Blessings certainly don’t come from some catholic “saint”

So in your own words you are defending your choice to lie to your children in defense of a religious myth, but not in defense of telling children that all gifts are a gift of God.

Not intending in any way to be argumentative, but trying to persuade you to examine your own words.
