My guess is this will be a big fail.
This tech has been in the Atlanta metro area for years and years. You can get extremely detailed in your order customization. Wasn’t the only option but I found it quicker than waiting on a human. Like the stores with endless self checkout, someone has to maintain the tech and this stuff isn’t reliable 24/7/365. It just isn’t.
The ghettopattami will just smash the expensive screens when they get angry.
Automats used to be a ‘big deal.’ This isn’t new, it’s just a newer (computer based) technology.
On the contrary, this will be the future.
Already most McDonald’s use automated kiosks for ordering.
McDonald’s right from the beginning had a regimented approach to preparing the food, so it can be easily automated.
McD wants standardization, and automation will do that. Standardization is also what their customers want, not high cuisine
