Forbes has published an article attempting to dismiss concerns over extremism among the ranks of Ukraine’s armed forces as Russian propaganda, but admits that it had been a problem that Ukraine has since “fixed.”
Unfortunately, a screenshot included in the article is from a video that proves exactly the opposite - that extremism in Ukraine’s armed forces is worse than ever and openly benefiting from Western weapons and equipment flooding the country.

Shelling your neighbors because they opted out of the coup, and they are ethnically Russian, and you as a nazi want to kill them... just like Grandpa did.
Grandpa was not trying to kill ethnic Russians, and the “neighbors” were the DPR, Russia’s puppets, who were shelling Azovs, and both of them were being sloppy about killing civilians. It’s called a civil war. Nazis, by your definition, would include the bikers at Altamont. Nazi insignia, beating and killing any non-biker who crossed them and all rival bikers, who were doing the same.
And Nazi by the very terms of your definition would include Putin, who is deliberately targeting civilians, and confiscating Ukrainian children from their parents and taking them off in captivity to be Russi-fied. I don’t think the non-combatant Russians in Donbas any longer see the Russians as “liberators,” any more than the Ukrainians, after a dose of German “liberation” looked to Hitler as their savior.
Get the dynamics straight. Russia is to Donbas what the Germany was to Sudetenland. Except that the Azovs and their supporters already had the vivid examples of Sudetenland, Georgia and Crimea of what an occupier does when it comes in, as well as 300 years of domination by Russia, both pre and post Soviet and the defunct Polish Empire before that.
The best proof that Ukraine is not “Nazi” is the fact that they overwhelmingly voted for a Jewish comedian who ran on a platform of peace with Donbas and cleaning out corruption, as that clip that I cited, undoubtedly the initial salvo in a long-term campaign for higher office, attests. He might have not been able to accomplish either, and he might have been totally insincere (I do not think so). But the Ukrainian people voted for that platform, and rejected the corrupt war monger Poroshenko, who was fine with corruption, and fine with shelling civilian neighborhoods and said so. Also not a Nazi, just a bad man with a Cossack’s penchant for bloodshed, and an ex-Soviet “comrade”’s penchant for corruption.

The elected him on a platform of stopping the war, pulling back all the militias and Uke army formations and heavy weaponry, and implementing Minsk. he was unequivocal about it. But when he tried, (and this is on VIDEO) the Nazi militia Azov told him *to his face* during a visit to the east that if he tried, they would refuse and put double the number there. And that they would HANG him from a tree on Kreschatik Street in Kiev.
The credible mutiny and death threats made him see the light. The Galician nazi mentality is not numerically a majority, but like all terror groups, they dominate due to their willingness to violence. Now they have infested the SBU and Uke Army completely.

While you gather it, I point out that you have conceded that The Ukrainian people elected him on a platform of stopping the war; i.e., they wanted no more of it. At present, the original Azov Battalion is no more, having been killed or captured. Their feats of dering do against the Russians and the DPR, however, have become legend. The soccer toughs and foolish young men who have copied their uniform in the regular army are not of any extremist views, born more of a justifiable fear of Russia than of some half-cocked belief that Slavs are the real Aryans, and that there is some genetic, ethnic difference between Russians and Ukrainians.
Historical differences, yes. Russia has been the most recent oppressor, and Ukrainians have been the constant oppressees. They also have an historic aversion to Jews, on whom the powers that be have foisted the role of go-betweener, whether the Polish nobility, the Czars, or the Stalinists. Whatever dirty work had to be done, whether collecting rents or evicting tenant farmers, or “collectivization,” the Jews were put in the position of both agent and fall guy throughout the centuries. The country’s would-be liberators, then, were also virulent anti-Semites, and like any bigots, also had terrible judgment, and got suckered by the Czars, the Commissars and the Germans into further servility and oppression. With the election of Zelensky, you have proof of a desire for reconciliation with both Russians and Jews, to turn the page and do a Kenyatta. That’s not something you can just dismiss out of hand.
