Under one provision of the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act, the Pentagon’s UFO (or UAP) investigative office was ordered to produce a report on their activities to Congress, presumably with an unclassified version for the public by Halloween of this year. It turns out that the trick was on us because that particular treat still hasn’t shown up nearly two months later. That office, currently known as the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), may have noticed that people were beginning to speculate as to what was causing the delay, so they held a conference call yesterday to take questions from the press.

In addition to revealing that they have received hundreds of new UFO sighting reports, most of which they haven’t had time to investigate, a few other details emerged. For one thing, the reason they changed the name of the office to remove the words “aerial phenomena” and instead use “all-domain anomaly” was that sightings have been reported not just in the skies, but also in space and even underwater. (Unidentified Submerged Objects or “USOs” are also referred to as “fast movers.”) Some objects have been reported moving from the air into the water or into space and back again. These are referred to as “transmedium objects.” But Moultrie said while reminding everyone that they are still in the very early stages of the process, that they have not yet identified any reports where an object appeared to demonstrate transmedium capabilities.

One surprise from the call showed up as soon as it began. The moderator for the call was [...] Susan Gough. She is the point person for the Pentagon on the subject of UFOs and is typically the only one allowed to answer questions from the press on the subject.Susan Gough has been one of the main obstacles/impediments to Pentagon transparency. She seems to believe that the American people have no right to any information held by the Pentagon.
The author of this article, Jazz Shaw, is a very savvy observer of the Pentagon and UFO transparency. His comment on Susan Gough was uncharacteristically toned-down.
I would suggest that sending Gough out to meet the Press on this issue is a giant middle finger salute by the Pentagon.

I knew there were more sightings than was assumed, they just hadn’t been reported yet.
Kind of fixes that “how come there are not many more sightings?” question doesn’t it?
But, but, …. All those records were destroyed when the fake plane hit the pentagon.

The UFO/UAP issues isn't taking attention away from other issues. Humans (some of them at least) have shown that they can handle more than one issue at a time.
Try swamp gas or weather balloon. They are more believable.
We can wait. Nothingburgers pretty muh taste the same.

To hell with orders from Congress, the Pentagon is not going to disclose anything they know about UFO technology.
That said, it's going to take time for people to realize it.
I have heard a lot of non-religious, "scientifically-oriented" people say that whatever these entities are, they are very tricky and deceitful. When these same people find out how closely aligned their thinking is with the Biblical narrative, they might open their eyes and minds to the idea of taking a fresh look at the Bible.
On a positive note, numerous universities are now jumping into the fray (Stanford, Harvard, SUNY, Duke, UNC to name a few).
Unfortunately, though, the scientific bias is powerful. Astronomers want to look for UFOs "out there," physicists want to study the multidimensional aspect, psychologists/psychiatrists want to examine what it means for consciousness, etc., etc.). Many of them seem to be prisoners of their own disciplines.
