1979 was a long time ago. How would you like to see US grievances from 1979 addressed in 2022?
“Thousands of victims of terrorism” would disagree. Well, fine. They have governments of their own to address their grievances. As far as any Iranian attacks against the United States (if there have been any), what, besides assassinating Soleimani, would you like to be done?
Our major terrorist attackers are Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, and we don’t seem to have adopted a particularly aggressive attitude towards them. What’s different about Iran?
2001 was a long time ago also. Or have you forgotten already? Seriously - you doubt iran has committed terrorism against American targets? Really???
I’m most concerned about American victims - including/especially service members. But do agree that victims of other nationalities can and should deal with iran themselves.
We should be sinking iranian vessels that harass ours for one. And plenty of infrastructure ripe for the picking.

I have no problem dealing with any country that supports terrorism - go for it.
You do realize that Iran gave safe passage to at least 2 of the alQaeda 911 terrorists, right?
As far as attacks against the U.S.....There’s a list. You really need to do some research.
Funny, I'm not especially well-informed but I understood your post immediately. Particularly irritable people have issues much bigger than posts with insufficient contextual material (too much caffeine, etc.). Additionally, since I usually agree with 98% of the posts I read, why haggle over the 2% I don't "get"?
