Here’s the average net worth by age in 2019, according to the same survey:
Younger than 35: $76,300
35-44: $436,200
45-54: $833,200
55-64: $1,175,900

I say that average is not a good measure. One billionare in an age group will raise the ‘average’ a lot.
How about median net worth?
I’m in the bottom half that makes the top half possible
The result of the economy coming roaring back was inflation.
—
Inflation was caused by the government dumping money into the economy. Actual production does not cause inflation. If anything, production results in decreased pricing.
Rich is thinking Biden is the ‘real’ president. As in, That’s rich.
Rich people pay off their debt and are content with what they have.
As soon as I read that the inflation we suffer from today was caused by high employment after Covid-19 I realized the writer was an idiot.
Exactly, it is what you want that matters, not what you have.
No wants = happiness.
Median is somewhere around $120k
Average is $750k
Got little money. OTOH, own a very overpriced old house near the beach in SoCal.
So maybe my kids will be “rich”?

More than you already have.
I was in the top 5% then congress spent $4.6 trillion and tanked the economy. My stock is down more then 50%.
It will go back up but not with the spend thrift congress and the corrupt democrats blocking recovery.
>>I say that average is not a good measure. One billionare in an age group will raise the ‘average’ a lot.
Not only is it not a ‘good measure’, average is a totally meaningless measure in this context.
For those concerned about being rich, I suggest reading C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity" (that's a link to the pdf-it's free!). This book is a logical examination of Christianity that atheists and agnostics will find particularly interesting because it discusses each and every concern/complaint they have about Christianity.
For those not familiar with Lewis, he was an Oxford Don and atheist when he decided to examine Christianity to see if it made any sense logically. This book pretty much takes a reader down that path.
Anyone who thinks they have examined Christianity sufficiently to dismiss it will be challenged when they see how deeply Lewis has dug. He doesn't push or encourage anyone to accept or reject Christianity. He merely presents his findings.
As an aside, Lewis is a Brit who served in the trenches in WWI. He's seen the bloody side of life.
While capitalism really increased the size of the pie and more money than ever is dispersed among the many, the vast amount of wealth is still concentrated with the few.
I know my goal is to extract as much wealth as I can for those richy rich people while also increasing the size of the pie if I can.
That is quite a difference between median and average and hows how much outliers affect those numbers.
To Democrats rich is anybody with a job.
Years a go the UN (ugh) said the average very wealthy person worldwide is anyone worth over US$10,000. The merely well off are anyone who has change in their pockets.
When Jimmy Carter was running for his first term, his popular motto (among the left) was ‘Vote for me and together, we’ll get the rich!’
When pinned down to define ‘rich’ he said it was anyone making over 15k a year. That group and above were the people he was going after. After some whining by the target group, he amended the bracket to 19K. With the help of the media, the whole topic was quickly buried.
