5.3 Mag. Earthquake Near Midland, TX
USGS ^ | December 16, 2022 | Gina Miller

Posted on 12/16/2022 4:04:59 PM PST by WXRGina

My Mom just called me from Abilene, Texas, and said she thought she felt a slight earthquake. I told her to call the police to see, and we also pulled up the USGS website. The website and the police confirmed that the quake was felt in Abilene that happened NNW of Midland. Anyone else feel this?

5.3 mag earthquake?

I live 3/4 of a mile from the San Andreas Fault.

We scoff at 5.3

Check out YouTube channel Dutchsinse. Very good with earthquake predictions.

“I live 3/4 of a mile from the San Andreas Fault.”

You’re in the “remains not recovered” zone when the Big One finally hits.

Yes, I knew the Left Coast people would weigh in with their cynicism, but this is for those of us who DON'T live in Earthquake Central. A quake in THIS area is rare.

It looks like Broderick Crawford. That was one of my favorite shows.

I didn’t realize there were any earthquake zones in Texas. Was this one fairly well known?

This area is not an earthquake zone. That's why I posted this.

Not being a wise ass, but how do you think the oil seeps up from deep in the earth. The faults don’t have to be huge, but there are cracks everywhere. Some are just more prone to slippage than others.

Yeah, well, during Matthew 24 conditions, there's that, too.
