I always way overtip. It is just my nature. But somebody doing that to me would not only not get a tip, but their manager would get a call, and if the manager copped an attitude, I wouldn’t hesitate to ask everybody I know to review bomb the hell out of the place.

If that Dominos wants my future business, they will either fire that delivery person, or make sure that particular employee never darkens my door again.
Of all the nerve!
It’s almost like the delivery person were ‘casing the joint’, appraising material value of the customers possesions and didn’t have enough brain or tact not to blab that info out to the customer. I would not trust them not to ‘key my car’ at very least. Low brained thinking.

I always overtip as well but when it comes to pizza, I always order carryout.
Personally, I think this is funny as heck!
What can the manager do? They can't fire the worker. They're already shorthanded as it is. Every pizza place in town has a help wanted sign in the window.
Review-bomb the place? What are they going to write? "I tried to stiff the driver out of a tip and he gave me a hard time! NEVER ORDERING FROM THEM AGAIN!"

TIPS were to insure proper service...
perhaps asking before delivering is acceptable.

Somehow I skimmed over the part where the delivery driver didn’t even give the customer an opportunity to tip but rather demanded it immediately.

I thought tips were to show appreciation for great service and one is never obligated to tip. It does show ones character if they wont tip when deserved.

Pretty soon soldiers will demand tips from the enemy before dispatching them.

I generally give a generous tip providing the service was acceptable. Please note this is not if the food was acceptable, the server has little control over that.
But yeah, demand a tip and I am likely to tell you find a different job.
Never had anyone demand a tip around here. Probably a big city thing.

I over tip as well, sometimes as much as 30-40% depending on where I go.

It was standard to tip your executioner back in the day.
