Welcome to non contraband farming/agriculture Mr Wheeler.
The pricing of your crop is going to be a little bit different moving into the future.

The marijuana market is completely saturated with many growers and a huge supply of inventory. Look for more “Green outfits” to tank over the next two years.

Even at $400/pound. That is cheaper than Mexican weed was going for back in the mid/late 1970s. That is only $25/oz wholesale. No wonder the cartels are smuggling people and Fentanyl instead.

MULTIPLE 3rd generation farmers in the triangle and lost coast.

Likely hundreds.

A man used to be able to make 75-100k per year on 3 acres.

No more.

If the cartels don’t burn you out/harvest your crop, you can only get 4-500 per pound.

It’s completely reformulating dozens of communities.

Exactly, the reason wholesale prices are low is because they have no other market. If the growers could sell at Farmers Markets, the Retailers would have to raise the wholesale price and lower the retail price.

I get mine for free because I grow it and people give it to me which is strange. I convert it to oil and use it topically for arthritis. I use CBD for sleep. I know people who use THC for sleep but that can be sketchy.

It depends on the quality. We have all the special fertilizers and such. I grow it in the backyard. My cousin doesn’t kill the males so we have a quart jar of some Pineapple strain that he gave us.
The State Police brings in the choppers but I am 100% legit. It’s not supposed to be seen from the road and some jaspers were growing it downtown on their front porch. Town police confiscated them. The Sheriff won’t even bother people outside town.
Every workman we hired had grown it here back in the day. Welcome to Appalachia

3rd generation?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Triangle

Growers have been cultivating Cannabis plants in this region since the 1960s, during San Francisco's Summer of Love. Growing cannabis in the Emerald Triangle is considered a way of life, and the locals believe that everyone living in this region is either directly or indirectly reliant on the cannabis industry.[3]

Did they not understand the when you legalize something, the supply increases and the prices drop?

Wait, uh. Uhh, what?

all the legalization did was make a new tax scheme to plunder the people..and it has worked....

although since I don't use any of this, I could care less...

I'd rather see more cucumbers and peppers and apples and pears...

I gave up on the all the fertilizers and finishers on my 3rd year of growing it. I installed a drip irrigation system and just kept them well watered.

I had plants that 1-pound dongers on them that were as long from my foot to my knee. My average yield was 3-5 pounds. That was some Diesel strain.

My 3rd year, water only crop, was so smooth it was like vaping it.

I still have some of the original comics, and then I bought an omnibus edition of all the Freak Brothers material a few years ago.

“Exactly what I was wondering...how did his grandparents legally grow pot?”

LOL

I could be wrong, though I doubt it: Most likely it wasn’t legal.

I cannot comprehend selling something that causes heartache, damage, increased criminal activity, and then WHINING about it when it goes legal.

It’s most likely the fact that he’s just fine with touting how long the family’s been selling the product.

Some folks...... sheesh

it’s not Big Pharma... it’s Big Tobacco for reference going back at least 10 years, see: Jamaica and Phillip Morris for just one example. Made and rolled in Jamaica mon for ‘consumption’ and distribution in and out of the country. Next see: Brazil warehouses with tonnes shrink wrapped and marked “RJ Reynolds”.

Cannabis Inc.’s head Lobbyist in DC is none other than crying John Boehner who cried over Nantzi Pelousi’s ended “leadership” in Congress of all the perverts and dopers in both the “parties”. Boehner’s daughter married to a Jamaican Posse leader and Cannabis hustler. Boehner a golf caddie bar owner loser who always has been what he is- an altered state.
Big Tobacco intends to work taxation into the “tobacco” legacy of sin tax for Federal Lobby control of their corporate interests. All the rest like these hippies are going to be driven out of business by economic scale. And what a great health result for the stoned out US youth. Brilliant. FDA approved no doubt.

Peace, love and understanding doesn't cut it with people who'd chuck you into a wood chipper and lose no sleep over it. Sometimes you have to use fire to defeat fire.
