so basically, he completely cheapened his entire brand for a few dollars that are meaningless to him. I agree with Steve Bannon on this one. A truly boneheaded distraction which leaves him open to even more ridicule. They guys is his own worst enemy - and I say this as someone that happily voted for him twice.

He's been called Hitler and a Russian spy x 5 years, yet still got 78 million votes, only to have the election stolen.

Well put. I’ve long been annoyed at how much some people seem to live in an echo chamber regarding Trump- with the echo chamber thing ironically being something they love to point out about the Leftist airheads. Sh*t like this is a huge turn off to swing voters and center-leaning small-L liberals, and materially affects his chances of winning an election even beyond the usually Democratic fraud.
I think it’s been clear for awhile that Trump has been becoming increasingly divorced from being the standard-bearer of Trumpism. I’ve been wavering myself for awhile, but I guess I’m now firmly in the DeSantis ‘24 camp.
Trump did great things, but from the standpoint of American electoral politics, this feels like a jump-the-shark moment. The Leftist/media complex has been trying so hard to demonize him, with some success by the way in swing voters, and now he trivializes himself. My biggest concern about him now is that if he loses the Republican primary, his ego won’t be able to take it and he’ll go third party, split the conservative vote, and doom us to another 4 years of a hollow-skulled Soros/Obama puppet.

I’m eating my Trump Steak, sipping my Trump Vodka, laughing at this.

IMO, the amount of dollars isn’t what matters to Trump-—
A test of his supporters matters more.
