Regardless of how silly it can be, I find much to enjoy about this Batman show with Adam West and Burt Ward. Julie Newmar is still the best Catwoman. After years of ownership disputes, the fans can watch these classics once again!

Mrs Mondelli on Leave it to Beaver.
Adam West. Lego Batman. Trump.
I’m not picky.
When I pledged my fraternity we had to learn all sort of trivia about the history and lore. One of the pledged questions...
Who were the baddest and battest Betas?
George Peppard and Adam West.
Actually got to meet Mr. West. We were standing in line at Miami International back in the mid 1980’s. I introduced myself and noted my appreciation for Batman. He was very gracious. I shared the above pledge question. He positively glowed. Grabbed my hand in the fraternity handshake and said I made his week.

- Silly (but not too scary) cartoon superhero vs. villain for the little kids.
- Corny humor to make the teenagers sneer and feel superior (but kept them watching).
- Political in-jokes and references to current events to make adults who took the time to watch howl with laughter.
It wasn't until Joss Whedon - in his libertarian days, before he fell into Big Hollywood conformity - came out with Buffy the Vampire Slayer that a comparable show appeared on network TV.
As a kid, I used to watch it religiously every week.
Looking back on it now, what the HELL was wrong with me.
I can’t believe people are singing it’s praises!
Yeah, I’ll agree that Julie Newmar and the lady that played Batgirl, and others were hot- the only good thing about that show.
The later movies with Michael Keaton and Christian Bale were pretty good.
Rifftrax offers the campy 40s Batman.
That’s a neat bit of trivia…
Hedy Lamar did her bit during WW2 as well, but you probably new that.
Frank Gorshin, the first Riddler, was the only cast member nominated for an Emmy Award
I’m voting for Earth Kitt then. She had the voice!
I met her at a long ago DragonCon.
Classy and super nice.

“This was one of the dumbest programs ever put on a TV screen.”
It outdrew the Muensters.

Eartha Kitt was pretty and, as you say, had a great voice. I still liked Lee Meriwether the best. Eleven-year-olds can be pretty set in their ways.
So you are a debauchery investigator?
“I smell pink”
Liberace was also a guest villain
I was always impressed with how easily they could walk up a 90 degree surface. Slowly... yes... but it didn’t look too hard.
“I still liked Lee Meriwether the best. “
Agreed. Lee M. was the prettiest, sexiest Catwoman.
At risking of tarnishing Julie Newmar for her fanboys on this thread... her brother is a prominent doctor and LGBT leader/activist in San Francisco.
If you really want a laugh it’s Pete Holmes’ complete “Badman” series. Its Batman, but not really as bright and sharp as the Batman we all know and love.
