But why? What purpose does that serve? I used to get an FBI full background check just to fix controls in nuclear power plants. Neighbors, creditors, friends, local bank branch, former employers, local police department, all would get a face to face visit and interview by the FBI discussing my traits and character.

I understand that question, "What purpose does it serve?" That is what normal people like you and I would ask. But the purpose it serves is not a constructive one.

It destroys the fabric of normal society.

I think they feel they have to degenerate society and bring it down so they can "build it back" to what they want it to be.

Of course, this is what their "build back" will be:
