Republican primary voters have high interest in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a potential 2024 presidential nominee and view him more favorably than they do former President Donald Trump, a new Wall Street Journal poll shows.
In a hypothetical contest between the two, Mr. DeSantis beats Mr. Trump, 52% to 38%, among likely GOP primary voters contemplating a race in which the first nomination votes will be cast in just over a year.
The poll found that Mr. DeSantis is both well-known and well-liked among Republicans who say they are likely to vote in a party primary or nominating contest, with 86% viewing the Florida governor favorably, compared with 74% who hold a favorable view of Mr. Trump. One in 10 likely GOP primary voters said they didn’t know enough about Mr. DeSantis to venture an opinion of him.

Actually, it’s a very credible poll by a very respectable organization.
When it comes to Trump V DeSantis there are 2 possibilities...
1.) DeSantis is as anti-Globohomo and as nationalist as Trump. Meaning he will actively combat - illegal immigration, bad trade deals, foreign entanglements, endless money laundering regime change wars, the deep state, multinational corporations preying on the American people, etc....AND THEY WILL STEAL THE ELECTION FROM HIM
OR
2.) He is not as anti-Globohomo as Trump and they may allow him to win.
I know who I am backing.
You would have rather had Hildebeast as President which is pathetic.
No one asked me, but neither has much of a chance.
This country is nearly gone. Trump is the only one who can save it IMO.

That is one of the reason we have elections.
Opinions VARY among the people who vote.
🙏
Taking a break from COVID propaganda DugwayDouche?
Try and win without Trumps core support.
You guys think you can?
Well the real question is can any R win with the vote is rigged as it is.
Personally I prefer Trump, he’s a known entity and an enemy of elitist policies and can be counted on to challenge them. DeSantis is a clever politician who has picked up support because of his opposition to covid policies and the tranny agenda which is good, but he has yet to speak out on the other issues that I consider important.
The fact that the big money people are supporting DeSantis is very concerning, so DeSantis still needs to prove himself to me. But as far as the economy goes I don’t see much difference between the two, actually I suspect DeSantis would throttle back government spending more so than Trump. But it’s Fed policy that ultimately decides how the economy performs, and during Trump’s time in office the Fed had an easy money policy, so really Trump’s economic policies had little effect on the economy.
WSJ = Never-Trumper Murdoch News. Parent (literally) of never_Trump Fox News.
And here you are shilling for the elites once again, do you get paid for this or are you just clueless?
Add in Mitch Mcconnell, Paul Ryan and Mike Pence and I keep asking myself what are they afraid of?
None of them are throwing stink bombs at Jewish GOP donors during the holiday season like Trump has. What’s Trump afraid of?
People want Trump’s policies without his almost Shakespearean temperamental flaws.Parroting? What flaws? He doesn't talk to you like you're in kindergarten?
Wish and pretend all you want. There can never be "Trump policies" without Trump.
Trump accomplished more in one 4yr term than any other President in your lifetime.
Funny, telling actually, how never-Trump dimwits never talk about Biden's flaws, not even (especially) Murdoch (AKA FOX) News.
THIS!
(haha!)
so really Trump’s economic policies had little effect on the economy

I disagree. If there’s anything that he deserves credit for its improving the overall economy. I usually avoid referring to self-serving sources but in this case its easier to simply link to a page with his numerous economic accomplishments. I would venture to say that Trump is more known for his constructive economic policies than perhaps anything else.

I just don’t see DeSantis being able to equal this kind of economic track record.
“People want Trump’s policies without his almost Shakespearean temperamental flaws.”
Shakespearean???
You deep thinking perceptive geniuses never fail to amaze me.
I will be generous: Just name one of those grandiose Shakespearean flaws, I mean the ones not in your imagination.
And I will be generous again: Choose just one president of the United States that was flawless.
In fact, even more generous: Name one mortal human being who was/is not flawless.
I am not referring to the talking points emanating from the MSM, democrats, Trump-haters, etc.
Haven’t heard much from PDJT recently.
Trump supporters knew exactly what you. You're despicable neocon POS. But, you're too stupid to very high up in the hierarchy.
Well your link lists the many ways in which the economy was better under Trump, but doesn’t mention any specific policies of Trump’s that caused this. So what specific economic policies enacted by Trump were responsible? Trump was all for the easy money policies of the Fed and encouraged it knowing it would juice the economy. But these policies are destructive and dangerous in the long run as they lead to unsustainable debt.
