DEAR FELLOW FREEQS, FREEPERS, AND LURKS,

This is another Qanteen Qanticle, which is 8 parts. As previously, the first part will appear below, here on the active thread.

Each day one more part will be posted, but in Festival on a recent thread. I will post the link to the day’s installment on the active thread.

At the end of the 8 days, I will post on the active thread the links to all 8 parts.

CHRISTMAS EVE EVE QANTICLE 2022

PART ONE
*It was December 20. The Qanteen was truly getting sorted out. The Christmas decorations had multiplied, and the Qanteen Qommon Room was magnificent. The piano tuner had come out to tune the Steinweigh and the Qarage upright. They sounded much better now.*

*Texokie had her pillows gathered once more under the Steinweigh, so that she could get the full effect of the magnificent tones. All the FReeQs had gone to a Qaroling party, and she was alone in the Qanteen. She felt OK, but was just wanting to be a little quiet.*

*Then it was “deja vu all over again” as the Great Yogi Berra used to say. Flash of light. Ozone. Unpleasant smell….*

SEYMOUR!!!!! IS THAT YOU?????

*A tall man in a uniform appeared - YES! It was Seymour! His hair was as she had expected; it was a beautiful salt and pepper now. The fruit salad had exploded and there was barely room for all the decorations on his chest…including a few more Q ribbon bars. This time, there was not a speck of dust on him. OH MY! He has a STAR now! A BRIGADIER GENERAL!!! He was smiling at her.*

Hi texokie! So good to see you!

OH Seymour, I’m so glad to see you too! It’s been a long time! Wow! You are a general now!

Yes, I really am one of those.

Well, I’m not surprised. What brings you here, Seymour, or should I say, General Seymour?

*Seymour chuckles*

Seymour is good. But if you were a private, you’d be in trouble!….and you of course recall that “Seymour” really isn’t my name. I’m still not at liberty to share it, but that’s good enough between friends, right?

Of course! May I get you some covfefe and sammiches? You recall where the Necessary Room is, I believe?

YES! I was hoping for covfefe and sammiches…and yes a pit stop would be timely about now.

*texokie busied herself in the Qitchen. When she brought out a tray, the General had folded himself onto a bean bag. They each took a plate and cup and had sips and bites, then got down to business.*

What brings you here, Seymour? I’m delighted to see you, of course, but I suspect there is more going on than you dropping in with the TARDIS again out of the blue!

*Seymour grins*

It isn’t a TARDIS, texie!

Well it SHOULD be!

*Seymour rolls his eyes*
