Already twisting it to make it hate speech.
Perfectly good catch on that.
The public by now is made so comatose to the slow boil of language manipulation that we may see it, but we’re so acclimated to it that we can overlook calling it out.
Thinking of Hollywood, as just one example, or school kids.. where manipulated language seems a staple in learning, and all they hear, it makes me recognize why the “victims” of it develop a chronic condition of the *divided mind*, (about which we know).
These populations very well may know about virtue and goodness, but when most all of their learning and their conversations are developed from inside a petrie dish, they can sincerely apply their disordered understanding of virtue to justifying totalitarian actions.
The suppression of opposing speech becomes “Misinformation”. Their assumptions that lockdowns should be forced upon healthy populations and that early treatment of C19, and using common viral remedies was criminal.
Thanks be to God, for our Founders and our American Fathers, who were largely more devoutly Christian than modern culture is today. They were willing to stand and to pay with their sacred life, liberty and fortune, for the sake of the land of their children.
Having been more strictly well formed in the Christian faith and conscience, they must have feared death, but were not immobilized by it, as is so very common now in the post-Christian West. They lived in discernment, already grounded, to “Let your Yes be “Yes”, and your No be “No”, in both matters of the day and in crisis.
All of that speech is on track to be codified as a “psychosis”. But we knew that already, a long time ago didn’t we?
