“Fauci’s resignation should not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He must be required to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the Wuhan lab leak. His policies destroyed lives,” wrote Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) in response to Musk’s post.
Fauci is preparing to step down from his government roles at the end of the year and has long said he is not concerned about Republicans’ increasing calls to investigate him over the U.S. handling of the pandemic.
“I have nothing to hide at all, despite the accusations that I’m hiding something. I have nothing that I could not explain clearly to the country and justify,” Fauci told The Hill’s “In The Know” last month.
In his final appearance in the White House briefing room a few weeks ago, Fauci lamented the partisan divide that has complicated the country’s response to the COVID-19 virus.
“As a physician, it pains me because I don’t want to see anybody get infected. I don’t want to see anybody hospitalized. And I don’t want to see anybody die from COVID. Whether you’re a far-right Republican or a far-left Democrat doesn’t make any difference to me,” Fauci said.

Your earlier one is accurate; "Musk calls to prosecute Fauci, drawing swift backlash". This one is not.
I could not fit everything in to the excerpt that was the problem
Apologies I thought Rand’s comments were important!
I could post Rand’s tweet if that’s any better?
@RandPaul

I only commented because your second post violated FR rules twice: once for being a duplicate thread in close proximity to another, and again for creating a thread title that didn't match the actual article's headline. Either of those tend to draw fire from the Mods.
So I was just cautioning you that your second thread was likely to get pulled.
OK I’m sorry if I cause any problems.
The tweet is what I should have posted not the article which contained it...
But then of course here I am commenting on a thread that could get pulled.
Must be late, I'm tired.... never mind....
Yeah, that's more in line with The Rules. :-)
Although personally (not being a Twit), I think that threads about tweets don't carry the same level of import and gravitas as threads about news articles. I suppose that's an old-fashioned position, though.
As an aside, I'm very pleased that Musk is using his acquisition of Twitter to spill beans all over the place. The fact that he might help to nail the Bidens and Fauci and maybe a few others gives me hope that we'll see a little retribution, before it all comes crashing down.
Musk is a breath of fresh air and he’s prolific on twitter.
I’m following him along with over 120 million others!
Amazing to think that much of what Musk is posting you would have got suspended for under the old “rules”.
As you know it was once heavily censored and you had to be careful
Still waiting for the Nuremburg Trials 2.0 to start.
Yeah, I know, won’t happen BUT it should!
All these people should be held to account then either hung or shot.
But yeah, that’s just me.
Pretty spot-on!
‘Pfizer was judged to have misled the public over the Covid vaccine but faces a derisory fine. The system is broken’

Fauci is a mass murderer, plain and simple. Choke him with the filthy lucre he accrued in payment for his dirty deeds. Shove it down his throat. May he spend it in Hell.
It can only happen if we have the right people in charge.
He will be dead before then. He is 80.
Would need a GOP majority and presidency. Even then, the RINOs would bail him out.
It’s a tough one.
Although, I think the president has a lot of power (DOJ) so if you got the right guy then maybe.
How likely is that...
The best we can do is win the battle of public opinion.
Fauci was once seen as a saint.
I bet if you took a poll now he will be doing a lot worse.
We need to expose him and win this battle.
If something comes of it like trials, etc. then great.
“We need to expose him ..”
Well, if Rand keeps to his word, Rand will do a whole lot of ‘exposing’ FauciIdiot, imho.
Yeah but Rand is one senator. He can’t do everything.
He’s done a great job in the exchanges they have had.
Like I said, take a poll and he’s doing worse. (Someone will no doubt do this as he retires so look out for it!)
I’m hoping people get angry and then we might see a trial.
Takes one brave DA somewhere. Jim Garrison-esque.
