How at such shallow depth could organic artifacts remain intact?

Thanks for the ping! Everybody's really on a... roll here!

In 1984, off Israel’s Mediterranean coast, marine archaeologist Ehud Galili discovered an ancient settlement that had been submerged for millennia.

Yeah, well history's gonna change.

I grew up in brevard county, and when the home adjacent to windover came up for sale i wanted it, but the price had jumped up so much in 2005 it was a nogo. they used to have some of the remains on display at what was the cocoa campus of brevard community college. the weaving was incredible for 8000 yrs ago. I always wondered what kind of dreams you would have sleeping next to windover. their is a good book on windover published by fsu for about 100.00 I have it.

That's excellent.

That is quite an amazing site. I am suprised that it's gotten so little attention.

What is the title of the FSU book?

I worked at Harris Semiconductor in the mid-70's, in Palm Bay.

I know the area a little bit. I loved the area but hated the company.

My Dad worked there in the 60's and early 70's when it was Radiation Inc. He also got my Uncle a job on the installation crews for the dishes. My Dad was a toolmaker in the Model shop, which built a lot of the early and one off hardware. radiation was a great company, and as a kid I remembered the Christmas parties, where as kids we got the greatest scientifically oriented presents. One year I received a model kit of hero's steam engine, while my older brother got a model of the Gutenberg printing press. And they worked. I might have got my first Estes Model rocket kit from them as well. Watch the first 5 minutes of Frankenstein vs The Space Monster. It has a car driving down A1A from Patrick onto the Cape. lots of views of landmarks, some are even still there. We would play at the Missile display at Patrick while dad surf fished across the road. I even climbed out onto the nose of the Snark one time until an AP asked me to come down and be sure and not fall off on the way. Here's the book.

At 9:49 he shows a skull from Atlit-Yam and a modern one side by side and then promptly covers up the brow ridges of the stone age skull.

Atlit Yam is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Atlit Sweet Potato.
