Stay away from Medicare ADVANTAGE Plans. They are NOT medicare. They are private insurance. The carrier you choose is re-imbursed by medicare a set amount for each of its customers.
So, it behooves the private insurance to make sure your medical bills don’t go over the medicare capitation.
Classic Medicare™ + Medex supplemental + medicare part D
Is all you need. (I ad dental coverage for an extra 36 dollars a month)

That Medex supplement -- that is a regular health care product from regular insurance. You pay the additional premium -- to an insurance company.
Medicare vs Medicare Advantage depends on one's location and health condition. MA typically offers numerous plans. The beneficiary needs to shop and compare.

Fully agree with this.
November of last year I had a 3-level Cervical Spinal Fusion. Total bill, including the $20,000 Titanium plate in my neck, was a hair over $200,000.
For my part, I paid $1377.00 when I when into the hospital for the overnight procedure.
And I only have Medicare Part B. However when I came back to my Neurosurgeon for my 1 week checkup, my P.A. told me about a guy, one year older than my 73, with exactly the problem and needing exactly the same operation. But he had a Medicare Advantage plan and they wouldn't approve the operation.
They want him to see a Chiropractor for six months first. But as soon as he tells a Chiropractor his problem, they won't take him as a patient. So now he's stuck.
So my wife and I will stick with Part B.

How much are you paying for your supplement plus part d premium ummmm
Most Medicare advantage have zero premium and little to no co-pays for office visits and medications.
Medicare advantage pays at Medicare rates for everything Medicare pays for.

I disagree on your advantage plan comment. Mine costs me nothing, I get free dental and eye exam benefits, practically free specialist visits, cap on out-of-pocket, international coverage, quarterly free stuff, gym membership, and on and on. Oh, I get to go the Christian-staffed clinic I’ve always gone to. I suppose it matters if you live in a bad city.
