The world woke up Thursday morning to the news that WNBA star Brittney Griner had been released from Russian custody roughly 10 months after being arrested for bringing vape cartridges containing hashish oil through a Moscow airport.
Griner was freed from a Russian penal colony in exchange for Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News.
Notably, the prisoner swap left another U.S. citizen in Russian custody.
Paul Whelan, a retired U.S. Marine veteran, was not involved in the exchange. Whelan was sentenced to 16 years in 2018 for espionage charges.
Whelan’s absence in the deal did not go unnoticed by Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons.
"Wait nah!! We left a marine?!! Hell nah," Parsons posted to his Twitter account.
(snip)
"We still not voting for you!" Parsons said in a now-deleted tweet.
As the tweet went viral, Parsons deleted his criticism of Biden, posting an explanation and an apology for tweeting "out of emotion."
"Just spoke to some people that I respect and trust. I should have been more educated on the topic and not tweeted out of emotion for my family and other who have served. For that I apologize," Parsons posted to Twitter.
"Also if what I’m told about the attempts to bring Ret Marine Paul Whelan home are true then the best outcome was accomplished. I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family. I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake."

I can buy that!
He didn’t.
And wouldn’t have.

Ah, okay. I thought you’d actually found something that Trump had to say about Whelan.
Gives a young person second thoughts about serving doesn’t it?
Many people may not know who Parsons is yet, but he is a major new star in the making, often compared with rare superstars of the past like Lawrence Taylor. I’m sure a lot of people therefore noticed.
They got one now! Sports is no longer about winning. Does anyone know who won the Superbowl last year? I don't. I know the Rams nominally won, but seriously the NFL is scrambling to find a new GOAT who encompasses their values, i.e. globull warming, blm, America-first. He doesn't exist. Micah will soon be cancelled, unless he prostrates himself before the leftist media and profusely apologizes for even thinking that America and her defenders may ultimately be good. I pray for Micah. I hope good wins over evil in this situation. I have my doubts, but I also have my hopes. We'll see.
Russians must be running out of guns and tanks so Biden sprung their number one arms dealer.
As bad as Bill was - in overall damage done - he did less damage than many of the others on the list (arguably, Carter was still worse).
The politicization of the gov departments, intel, and LEO agencies began under Bill Clinton.
Not exactly “retired”. He got a Big Chicken Dinner.
After a court-martial conviction in January 2008 on multiple counts “related to larceny”, he was sentenced to 60 days restriction, reduction to pay grade E-4, and a bad conduct discharge. The specific charges against him included “attempted larceny, three specifications of dereliction of duty, making a false official statement, wrongfully using another’s social security number, and ten specifications of making and uttering checks without having sufficient funds in his account for payment.”

An honest study reveals - that started WAY before Clinton - the Clintons just took the use of those departments to a new level.
The Marine vet is no saint. He was given a bad conduct discharge after being convicted in a court martial.
He was convicted of attempted larceny, three specifications of dereliction of duty, making a false official statement, wrongfully using another’s social security number, and ten specifications of making and uttering checks without having sufficient funds in his account for payment … He was sentenced to 60 days restriction, reduction to pay grade E-4, and a bad-conduct discharge.
But I still would have rather him be freed before the bull dike who hates America.
