Eat Garlic — roasted or raw — and they’ll leave you alone. It’s worked for me for the past 35yrs, at my Nursery/Garden Center/Landscape Contracting Operation. I’ve not been bee/wasp stung or mosquito bitten.
My theory: if you smell like garlic/onions, we’re friends. If you smell like Listerine or toothpaste or body wash, be gone vassal!

No matter how many people are around, I always get destroyed by mosquitoes.
If I went to Africa, I would die.

If garlic repelled mosquitos I've eat a string of it every day.
I could be standing next to my mother and she wouldn't get touched by mosquitos while I'd be practically carried away. I don't know what it is about me that attracts them so, but I wish I could figure out what it is so I could change it.

When I grew up in late 50’s in South Georgia we took silver capsules during the spring , summer and fall to keep away mosquitos, ticks and red bugs. Also kept away those that did not take sulfur capsules.

Not true. In the Marines we ate sulfur pills. It comes out in your sweat. Mosquitoes stay far away. But everytime you break wind, it smells like the gates of hell have opened up.

But hanging scented dryer softener sheets around your neck; use two clips to place the sheets about chest high. The really scented ones work great.
