I would say that women are hard-wired to have someone take care of them.
And women are also hard-wired to resent the idea that anyone ought to be “taking care of them”.
This is covered in Genesis 3:16.
Feminism has convinced a lot of women that men are lousy and just oppress women — Sisters need to take care of themselves and have careers and stuff.
Of course, that’s hard and most women know that they do, in fact, need help — so they look to the government and they vote for politicians who will “take care of them”.
And, today, a lot of women realize how lousy the government is, and how the government isn’t taking care of them at all and is actually screwing everything up and oppressing them.
At this point, many women feel they are out of options and they are pretty angry about it.
And that is the direct consequence of suffrage. There's a reason things became rapidly more liberal, and the government grew so fast and so much, starting in the 1920's.
That isn't meant to be a knock against women, but it does logically follow.
