Same here, I thought he was homely and his voice sounded like a screechy gate that needed to be oiled, or possibly fingernails on a blackboard.
This is what I consider a handsome man with a wonderful voice (my parents era but I always loved their music more than the music of my generation) I did have years of choir singing and piano lessons so know what music is supposed to be lol.

This is the “original” version of “At Last”. The song was written for the Glenn Miller Orchestra, and was first played in the movie “Orchestra Wives”, 1942. Vocals by Ray Eberle and Pat Friday (dubbing for Lynn Bari).
