Philadelphia City Council approves permanent 10 p.m. curfew (for minors)
Philadelphia City Council on Thursday passed a bill requiring anyone 17 years old and younger to be home by 10 p.m.
The bill includes expanded curfew centers (<— wtf is that?) hours, which will stay open through 2 a.m., and reporting from Philadelphia police on its enforcement.

Probably a good idea (the curfew).
It brings back old memories. The town I worked in, back in the late 70’s, had a “late hours” law. If the cops saw you more than once, they stopped you and told you to go home.
Well, one night I worked two hours over until 1:30am. I stopped in at Dunkin Donuts for a snack before driving home. There were four cops in there. When I left, one of them followed me and stopped me. He was around my dad’s age. He asked me why I was out so late, and I explained that I worked 2nd shift, worked over, and was hungry so I stopped before going home.
I’ll never forget his words to me. I was in my 20’s so it’s been a while. He said, “get on home because decent women aren’t out this late”. LOL
I went home.
I was in my mid-20’s, was married, and had a kid. I wasn’t a kid. Times sure have changed!
