He was on Sing Along With Mitch before Sesame Street.
Married 64 years, five kids.
I would go to my church, put my hand on a Bible and say it again.
IT HAPPENED!! 23 years ago!!
Wake up! This is where the left is sending us.
Did he retire or did they dump him in favor of a female or minority?
I think he had a nonspeaking role in “Elmo in Grouchland.”
Horsefeathers. I learned to read because of that show. It wasn’t until Children’s Television Workshop head Joan Ganz Cooney left the show turned into the junk it is now.
I loved Captain Kangaroo. My dad traveled when I was a little kid, so I think Captain Kangaroo was like a surrogate father to me during those years. I got to meet Bob Keeshan when I was all grown, and my daughter, then 9, went with me. He dolled all over her. I was chopped liver but so happy. He was exactly in person as I remembered him on the tv.
Loved Bob McGrath and Sesame Street too. It was just starting but I was too old for it. Kids I babysat watched it though. RIP Mr. McGrath.
***“Johnny Quest was cool”
My first crush!!***
Mine, too!
I met the man. Great Guy, Rest In Peace Bob
