Who are the replacements? Maybe Trump if Republicans could today agree on that.
There is a big point being missed here.
If both president and vice-president resigned, and both offices are vacant, then the Speaker of the House becomes president. That person would appoint a replacement vice-president, to be confirmed by vote of the House and Senate.
