Why Can't We Call for Biden and Harris to Resign? [Vanity]

It is too late and unrealistic to void or invalidate the 2020 election, but as evidence mounts, why can we all call on Biden and Harris to simply resign?

The evidence is mounting that the election was corrupt in multiple ways, people within the government played politics to undermine the sitting president on behalf of their preferred candidate, big tech, our public square, private or not, active censored content in collusion with a party and the politicized government workers, election law was ignored to pack the ballot box with illegal votes, and the media played along, was no just the cheerleader, but a participant in stealing the 2020 election.

Maybe, and well past time, maybe we should be building a groundswell of calls for Biden and Harris to resign. Not to seat Trump and Pence, too late for that, but to have them resign, let the House, per the Constitution, appoint replacements. And, let the new Republican House in January handle that.

Bottom line, this is no longer and never should have been about Trump. This is about the integrity of our elections. Right now, Biden and Harris are increasingly usurpers, holding office via a corrupted election. Time for them to resign.

You can certainly call for them to resign but I doubt they would acquiesce.

Not until there is a Republican Speaker of the House.

Without a groundwell of support, you are correct. But we can see evidence throughout history where the calls wear down folks and they eventually resign. The challenge is whether there is enough sustained anger to succeed.

You are missing an important point.

If they both resigned, then the Speaker of the House becomes president. If these resignations happened now, then Nancy Pelosi would be president. Then she would nominate a replacement vice-president, to be confirmed by the vote of House and Senate.

We can call until we are blue in our faces, but what if they lie down and play dead? Will we continue to call?

Why?
Who are the replacements?

You can ask them all you want, but the chances of them agreeing to such a thing is zero.

And as I wrote, in January with a Republican House. McCarthy might find himself as president or residing over the constitutional issue AFTER Pelosi is gone. (If Pelosi were smart, she’s got a month to pull it off and move into the White House.)

Who are the replacements? Maybe Trump if Republicans could today agree on that.

There is a big point being missed here.

If both president and vice-president resigned, and both offices are vacant, then the Speaker of the House becomes president. That person would appoint a replacement vice-president, to be confirmed by vote of the House and Senate.

You could try it, but expect a tax audit.

But we can see evidence throughout history where the calls wear down folks and they eventually resign.

We do? Nixon only resigned because he lost the support of the Republican leadership at the time.

If you imagine that Biden and/or Harris would be "worn down" by a handful of naive, disgruntled "conservatives" calling for their resignation, well, I'd have wonder what you're smoking.

With all due respect, people need to wake the eff' up and understand -- and accept -- the world in which they're actually living nowadays. Sheesh.

Okay. Now what?

I doubt that Biden would ever resign willingly, even if there were a groundswell from the people. Slow joe thinks he’s doing a great job!

Dunning-Kruger effect is in play here. The worst performers always think they’re doing the best job. That describes Biden to a T, don’t you think? Pair that with Biden’s obvious narcissism, and it would take either a 25th Amendment proceeding, an impeachment, or his death (preferably of natural causes, of course) to remove him.

At best it would be political theater that would get ignored.
