This has happened before. Cops arrive and shoot home owner who is in armed confrontation with burglar.
Sounds like one of those instances where a good guy with a gun gets mistaken for a bad guy, like that supermarket shooting in Boulder. Who was the homeowner shooting at?
Too many read the headlines first, make a stupid statement, THEN read the article.
The caller said...
Said to the 911 operator.
But what did the officers get told? I bet the radio traffic is something like “Man with a gun! Shots fired!”
Just speculation on my part, but that would fit what often happens.
