Pepsi and Milk was Laverne's original idea.

I tried it once, and I said, meh.

Before coffee was a drink I considered, that convenience store morning stop with the work crews, my beverage was a 16 oz bottle of RC with a couple of creamers (half & half). The RC could not be full as the reaction of the creamer with the cola was a little frothy.

It is little more than a pre-melted version of an ice cream float or ice cream soda.

My dad says mixing soda pop and ice cream was a thing when he was young. Basically homemade ice cream soda, just not mixed by a qualified pharmacist.

No point being a kid if you can’t blow bubbles in your root beer float with a straw.

When I was younger, I used to drink coke with a little milk in the glass. Didn’t know it was a thing.

A&W Rootbeer with vanilla ice cream beats a Coke Float any day.
Peanuts in an ice cold RC Cola is the thing on a hot lazy summer day.
They can keep those milk things.

Near H. Roe Battle Scout Camp in Missouri there is a store with a Peach Niehi Float tradition that has been around for perhaps 50 years.
