"Pet parent" is a bizarre mind-set.
Many people love their dogs, would even risk their lives for their dogs... but it is bizarre to consider their dogs as their "children".
It denigrates real parents.

I have two grown daughters, one married, one single. They both say they will not be having kids, so we consider our two cats our grandchildren…🐱🐱🙂

BINGO. So many idiots see their dogs as “furry children” or “fur babies.” No they are not. They are beasts. They are hunter killers. I LOVE my dogs, but I don’t trust them for a second around a child and know it only takes an instant for them to ignore their training and kill everything and anything in their sight.
