(Maybe when they baked that one, they loaded it up with "cake softener gel", or something like that.)
My brother and I have been giving each other the same fruitcake each Christmas for about 35 years.
It’s a junky cheap $1.19 fruitcake but still feels soft enough to eat.
My brother-in-law and I used to pass an ugly tie back and forth. He got it last ... a couple of decades ago, right before the divorce which separated me from that family.
