I don’t think it was streaming, but it IS all (reasonable IMO) speculation.

I reject the "usual Freeper" handle.

Conjecture is a legitimate exercise based on what we know . . . . and what we don't know, but think we should know.

I was just listening to one of the parents speech at the vigil, referring to how close the two girls were, he said “they went to HS, college, lived together, and died together, in the same bedroom and bed.” To me, this was a bombshell. There were two bedrooms on the third floor and they each had their own. So why did they sleep together that night? (No mention they were gay and had boyfriends) so did something scare them OR did someone come home or meet them and they put him/her in the other girls room? Possibly the other couple bright someone with them and told them to sleep upstairs.

As I posted above, this reminds me so much of the Gainesville, FL college student murders of 1990 or so - 8 kids - 7 girls and one boy who was just the roommate of one of the girls - were killed by a psychotic drifter. Some were asleep in their apartments, and I think he followed one who was coming back alone at night after classes.

He got into the apartments through the patio sliding doors.

Or the psychotic who killed those 8 student nurses in their dorm apartment back in the 70s or 80s.

In all cases they used knives to kill, sometimes posing the bodies afterwards, and in the Florida the killer beheaded or disemboweled a couple of his victims.

One reasons I think they’re not releasing many details is that the killings may be pretty gruesome.

Also, it seems to me that they have no idea who did this and didn’t want to set off a panic among the students. The guy has probably left the area by now. Which means he’s on the loose.

I think they hope that they’ll get a break with his being arrested for something else, or possibly somebody recalling an earlier case with a similar MO and similar victims.

Terrible case, anyway, and yes, it is possible that one of the girls had noticed somebody watching them earlier and was nervous.

Backing away from the stalker other things LE is saying:
LE has cleared everyone they’ve spoken to.
LE says the similar cases from years past haven’t been solved but aren’t related to this case.
The recent knife threat incident on campus hasn’t been solved but it’s not related.
A dog, Buddy, was killed and skinned like a “fillet” but his case hasn’t been solved though LE says it isn’t related. His killing was done by a human but all other recent pet killings were done by animals or whatever.
The masked guy caught on doorbell cams is unknown but he’s not related.
LE knows nothing about a 911 call that night in the band field between Ethan’s frat house and the 4’s house.
It’s safe to go back to class or maybe not.
The 4 victims were attacked as they slept in their beds but somehow Ethan’s bed must have been the hall floor.
The roommates called 911 from inside the house or outside and the unconscious person was one of them inside or outside or one of the victims inside.
The killer was sloppy but he wasn’t seen and left no blood trail.
Kaylee’s sister gave LE the phone records to help tighten the timeline but LE didn’t get around to her, uh, tip for several days to correct their timeline by 11 minutes.
Two of the girls’ mothers have been arrested on drug charges but, per LE, those are unrelated to the murders. Yeah, because why not immediately add to the families’ heartbreak.
LE swears it was a targeted attack on one of the girls. Or maybe more of the girls. Or then the house itself. The only thing not a target was Kaylee’s and Jack her ex’s dog, Murphy. Wait, today there may be no target.
Two weeks in and LE was looking around outside for keys.
LE finally took possession and removed the vehicles yesterday after they’d been crawled through by everyone and their cousin.
.
.
.
Whew, thank goodness the forensic reports are going “directly to the investigators.”

Add to those, Placer and Nevada Counties in CA are keeping the Kiely Rodni case open so they don’t have to answer any questions. Can you say, “Cover up, cover up, cover up”?

Uncanny similarities, which probably means it is a psycho. These murders in Idaho has really impacted the current and future economy in Moscow. It is a small university town, which relies heavily on income from students. This is enrollment time of year for most schools in the country and I would suspect families are making decisions not to send their kids there. Therefore, the police probably communicating with the school wanted the “targeted” motive to be put forward.

I have to admit I never heard of the Rodni case.

The murders in Gainesville had a big impact on USF, too. The only good to come out of it was that the police and city became less tolerant of “urban campers,” aka crazy drifters living in the woods.

BTW, they had the killer’s trial in Alachua County, where it happened and which is a notoriously liberal county, because the defense thought a jury from there would be so liberal that they would never give him the death penalty. But they did!

I don’t remember this, but you make it sound like they were one at a time and not en masse . . . . like this was.
