I worked in pharma for about 20 years before becoming a full-time Chick and I’ve never seen a vaccine quite like these Covid ones. I was a Medical Writer, and I wrote many different types of materials – including compassionate and emergency use documentation for some large pharmaceutical companies. So, regardless of what a lot of people may think, I went into the vaccine discussion with a pretty open mind, objective point of view, and a somewhat educated brain when it comes to biologics. I wasn’t an “anti-vaxxer” when all of this began.

But I’m a data girl by nature. I love facts and figures, looking at statistical data and seeing trends and the ups and downs of clinical studies. It takes YEARS for pharmaceutical companies to get a drug to market because of that sort of data mining and study.
