I went to buy eggs today - when did they go up another dollar? I was just getting over the sticker shock of them doubling to $2.

Saw eggs priced at $5.99 per dozen at Publix a couple of days ago...omg! Paid $1.84/doz for mediums at a store across the street.

What store was that? I need to go there. I paid about $3 at walmart. Aldis is about the same.

Seems like some stores are jacking prices even higher than they should be, maybe hoping shoppers will just put things in their carts without noticing (ok, I know they are buggies here!)

Richard “The People’s Pundit” Baris recently shared an interesting picture during his podcast—Inside The Numbers (Episode 307)—and in his Locals.com community. The photograph was one he took while inside the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) soon after the recent Arizona midterm election. It showed a “Heat Map” reportedly hung on the wall inside the vote counting center titled:

Maricopa County Heat Map: Found on wall in the MC Tabulation and Election Center(MCTEC), about 100 feet from where the tabulators and voting machines are stored.Per the article, this is an extremely expensive map to produce. Why was it done and why was it hanging in the Tabulation and Election Center?

I don’t understand why it would be expensive to produce.
Assuming the underlying data was available.

From the article, there were 380,000 lines of data that had to be plotted.

Rich Barris does polling for a living, and he said it would very expensive for a copy to produce this plot from that much data.

Then the question becomes—why even commission something like this?

The purpose of the MCTEC was to count the votes, not figure out where the votes are going to come from.

Plus this is a Repubican-only heat map. One for the Democrats or for Independents was not found there.

Nicely done. I like the chronological order of statements, but especially the comparisons of the treatment of real tweets calling for violence and tgge reaction of other leaders to Trump being banned.
