Well, the article says Hussey "refused to believe" the black woman. So it sounds like Hussey kept asking even after the black woman said she was British - asking once would have probably been fine, but refusing to accept the answer and continuing to ask what part of Africa she was from would be considered annoying and offensive by most people.

well it is possible that the Aristocrat saw a cosplaying Rastafarian Wakanda wannabe and wanted to get to the bottom of it...but I suspect it was just an old lady trying to make the guest understand her question that she was interested in her roots.

THE Queen usually asked her guests “and what do you do”...this is just another version of that. Of course I doubt the queen would have kept on questioning..
