My nearest Aldi is about 30 miles away, so I go maybe 2x a year.

We have like 10 Aldis within 10 miles of me, the nearest one about 2 1/2 miles, and the next closest about 3 1/2 miles, and another one on my way to my daughters house each weekend. Guess I'm lucky (I live in Tampa, btw).

We are checking out Costco this week to see if a membership there would be worthwhile for just the two of us.

My wife and I checked out Costco this year, for the first time. We paid $60 membership fee.

Costco is not less expensive than Walmart or Target or any other supermarket around us, so, we stopped shopping for food there.

But, we more than made up the membership fee with their low-cost gasoline, which is normally 30 cents or more less than the neighborhood gas stations. In fact, we more than made up the membership fee through the low-cost gas, which is, btw, still higher than BB (Before Biden; get it BC, AD, BB?). Last gas fill-up was for $2.92 per gallon, compared to the neighborhood price of around $3.34. We'll keep renewing Costco membership just for the gas. We've saved over $130 on gas since we got the membership 5 months ago.

Thanks for the info. My Mom shops there often and she’s always braggin’ on the gasoline savings, too.

I’m not really sure if we NEED it, so that’s why we’ll check it out. Again, about 30 minutes away, so probably just a few times a year trip into ‘The Big City’ of 5K versus our 250 population where the cows outnumber the people. ;)

It WOULD be nice to do a once a year stock up on TP, paper goods, trash bags, dish & laundry soap, etc. There’s only two of us now, so that would be more than do-able.
