On Sunday, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) told CNN that if the new Republican majority in the House of Representatives were to subpoena him, he would have to “consider the validity of” such a request.
According to the Daily Caller, Schiff’s comments were made on CNN’s “State of the Union,” hosted by Dana Bash. When Bash asked him about the possibility of being subpoenaed by Republicans, Schiff said that he would “have to consider the validity of the subpoena.”
“But I would certainly view my obligation, the administration’s obligation to follow the law and the fact that they have disrespected the law is not a precedent I would hope that would be broadly followed,” Schiff continued. “We’ll have to look at the legitimacy or lack of legitimacy of what they do.”
Schiff then went on to claim that the new GOP majority, which will most likely be led by Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), “will do nothing but carry Donald Trump’s water.”
Under the Democratic majority, the controversial January 6th Committee has issued multiple subpoenas to several Republican members of Congress, including McCarthy, Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
Most Republicans have defied these subpoenas, pointing to the unconstitutional nature of the committee itself; outgoing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) refused to seat two of the Republicans that McCarthy selected for the committee, Jordan and Jim Banks (R-Ind.). As a result, McCarthy withdrew all of his suggestions and vowed that Republicans would not participate in the committee; Pelosi subsequently appointed two Republicans of her choice, Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who are prominent anti-Trump Republicans. Kinzinger chose to retire this year, while Cheney lost her Republican primary in a landslide to Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman.
McCarthy has made several promises to crack down on far-left Democrats as Speaker, including removing Schiff, Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) from their committee assignments; Schiff, along with Swalwell, would be kicked off the Intelligence Committee, of which Schiff has been the Chairman. Schiff, one of the strongest advocates of the debunked “Russian collusion” hoax targeting President Donald Trump, repeatedly claimed to have “evidence” in his possession that would prove such collusion, only to never produce it despite being asked multiple times to do so.
What a weasel.
Adam Schiffty never had problems with the “validity” of subpoenas issued by the far-left excrement.
Ah, the shoe is in the other mouth now Schiffy?.............

“Adam Schiff Questions ‘Validity’ of a Possible GOP Subpoena”
Adam Schiff Questions ‘Validity’ of his brain
There,fixed it
A subpoena from Congress is valid.
Just ask Steve Bannon and others.
The JustUS department will choose not to prosecute if he refuses to testify. We have seen this before with democrats (Eric Holder).
Schiff has nothing to worry about. The GOP is all talk no action.
The judge who sentenced Bannon gave him an open back door to appeal his subpoena, which he is taking. The J6 committee is toast in 6 weeks anyway.
Schiffty has proved himself a liar numerous times, so what’s new?
Do these people ever look in a mirror?
Not a GOP Subpoena. A Congressional Subpoena.
Lock him in a cell and let him “question the validity” from there.
So he’s a subpoena denier?
Of course…RATS aren’t subject to laws…
Adam Schiff = Chicken Little
The Validity is the same Validity that you used, Mr. Schiff, when you applauded their use.
Hopefully, the GOP will impose identical penalties (See Steve Bannon) to those that refuse to ‘co-operate’ and are held in contempt. That includes prior individuals such as Eric Holder.
