London Police say they're "fully prepared" to deal with "Just Stop Oil" criminals

@MetPoliceEvents

⚠️ Just Stop Oil activists are planning further disruptive activity from 28 Nov - 14 Dec ⚠️

We’re fully prepared. ✅

We will:

• Arrive quickly.

• Deal with the situation efficiently.

• Remove/arrest activists as appropriate.

• Return things to normal as soon as possible.

Since October we’ve arrested 7️⃣5️⃣5️⃣ Just Stop Oil activists. 1️⃣8️⃣2️⃣ have already been charged.

⚖️ We will continue to work with the CPS and the courts to bring to justice those who cause unacceptable disruption or damage to London.

🕵🏼 We know this success is prompting a change in their tactics:

• They will target roundabouts and key junctions.

• They will walk slowing in small groups to block roads instead of sitting down/glueing on.

This is intended to frustrate our response but we’ll be ready. ✅

The public shouldn’t underestimate the impact of this action:

👮🏻 11,923 officer shifts have been needed to respond to Just Stop Oil activity since October 1.

🏘️ Those officers could be in your community tackling knife crime, safeguarding the vulnerable & catching burglars.

We also recognise the impact on Londoners going about their daily lives.

💬 Commander @KarenFindlayMPS: “I completely understand the frustration and anger felt by the public who are seriously disrupted by a relatively small number of protestors and their deliberate tactics.“

As we have shown in recent months, where activists cross the line into criminality, we will respond.

Well, it’s a good start to accurately call them “criminals” instead of “protesters”.

When the idiots glue their hands to the wall the police should just whack off the hand with a machete and leave the hand as a warning to others.

Ops! Saying that would get me another 30 days in FB jail if I posted it there!

“It’s like the police are saying “we are fully prepared to deal with the murderers in our cities. We will arrive after they have committed their crimes (murder in this case), arrest them, and bring them to justice.”

Clipping a cop onto your utility belt is obviously not an option.

Be prepared and always ready.
