Putin will 'mobilise another 2 million including 300,000 women' and 'impose martial law in Moscow' but may use crackdown to 'bow out in favour of handpicked successor'

Massive 'national crusade' mobilisation could happen as soon as New Year

'He will most certainly leave before 2024' if not the New Year

Rumours suggest Sergei Kiriyenko, 60, his authoritarian deputy chief of staff and an ex-PM, could replace Putin, while others focus on Dmitry Patrushev, agriculture minister, and son of the president's hardline chief security apparatchik Nikolay Patrushev, who would be power behind the new ruler.

Speculation is swirling in Russia that Vladimir Putin will soon demand a massive new mobilisation drive in a desperate effort to halt calamitous defeats to Ukraine.

It's also been predicted that such a move could be a diversion tactic for Putin to step down and hand over power, with the leader reportedly suffering ill health in recent months.

One version is that he could draft up to two million - including 300,000 women - in an attempt to turn the war into a national crusade.

The move is likely to be coupled with martial law in key cities, including Moscow, say Russian sources.

Such a scenario might act as political cover enabling him to hand over power in the event of worsening health, - observers convinced he is terminally ill -

'Putin considers it 'sufficient' to call up another two million people, of which about 300,000 are women,' alleged General SVR Telegram channel which expects this to be triggered in January.

'A large number of victims among those mobilised, according to the president, will only rally Russian society and strengthen the current regime, and regardless of whether the result will be victory or defeat.'

Putin-watcher Valery Solovey, former professor at Moscow's prestigious Institute of International Relations, said: 'The intention [is] to mobilise not 300,000, 400,000, or 500,000 but, with luck, up to two million people, including 300,000 women after the New Year celebrations.

If that’s so, I would say it’s more likely a man willing to crush his enemies would rise.

For fun:
“What is best in life?”
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.”

Daily Mail is absolute tops for news on which Kardashian has a new show, chopped off their genitals, or is paying for an award.

Nope. The world is not at war and Russia is the aggressor, not defender f freedom. This will end up with Putin being treated like Tzar Nicolas. Tzars have a terrible reputation of being overthrown when they lose a war.

“Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin’s Wagner Group will make things UGLY”

If Putin gets eliminated, Prigozhin (the Chef) would team up with Muslim Kadryrov to seize power. They each have a private army, which will be helpful when a coup is going on in the Kremlin

“The replacement could be far worse.”

Or far better. At this point, as far as the Russian people it is probably a coin toss.

Take everything the UK press says with caution and high degree of skepticism. Russia can not properly train or equipped the first 300,000 mobilized. How can they mobilize 2 million more?

Should Putin steps down in the middle of the war he started, all hell will break lose in Russian politics. Putin and the Russian leadership are ambitious, not crazy or suicidal.

This sounds like wishful thinking based on rumors then treated as fact. Which can be said of most of what the press writes anymore on anything.

The Biden Administration wanted “regime change” with Putin replaced and concurrently pushed Zenlinski not negotiate with Russia..., as long as Putin is leader..., then it was Zenlinski will not negotiate as long as Russia holds an inch of Ukraine..., and now Zenlenski is being pushed to “hurry to negotiate” now, before those 545,000 Russian forces are ready for the “freeze offensie”. Russia will take Odessa as the Ukrainians are currently trying to defend Kiev.

Putin will be there longer than the US will have Biden. In six weeks, Americans of every political affiliation will want the Biden’s out as the Truth of the corruption and the laptop breaks.
