Let them roam the neighborhood...probably better odds of living freely, longer

Let them roam the neighborhood...

Senior cats that age that have spent their entire lives indoors would die a slow, torturous death of fear and starvation if sent outside to fend for themselves.

They will be dead within 3 months or sooner. Older cats do not know how to hunt, they have been pampered all their lives. Not the best choice here.

They are relatively old INDOOR cats......how long you think they’re gonna last outside....with winter coming on??

They’d be better off euthanized than having to endure that.

With all due respect please think about your comments before posting.

Did you not read they are elderly indoor cats?

That would be the same as putting your healthy but elderly aunt outside and let her fend for herself.

We get lots of animals dumped on us cuz we’re a farm but most of these critters get killed on the road, starve or predators get them.
Just because Meow Meow catches the odd mouse doesn’t mean she could sustain itself in the outdoors!

No. No. No. No. No. NO.

A Very bad idea that would not end well. It would be very cruel for one thing.

OMG! That’s a horrible idea!! Outdoor cats live about half as long as indoor cats, and their deaths can be so cruel. Prey to other animals. If they have health issues, then long and painful deaths are almost guaranteed.

In Ohio that would be abandonment and is considered a felony.

There is bad advice and then there is criminal advice.
