A woman plummeted 1,000 feet to her death after slipping off the edge of a cliff while hiking on a mountain in Italy.
“The news that arrived this evening of the tragic death of the young Maria Cristina Masocco, which took place in the afternoon in the mountains, strikes us in a truly profound way,” lamented Viviana Fusaro, the mayor of Feltre, Belluno, located in the region of Veneto, where the accident took place.
The disaster occurred around 4 p.m. on Sunday while Masocco, who lived in Feltre, was hiking with three friends in the Dolomites, the highest peak in which measures nearly 11,000 feet tall, Newsflash reported.

In a vacuum.
When I read the headline I wondered, screaming before or after she started falling?
Terminal velocity would also be unique for each body. Of course, the the differences of these factors will be minimal.
Add another couple of variables, friction and negative acceleration from contact with the mountain at X number of points, on the way down.
Notice that the mass of the falling object is irrelevant in the formula
Simply a vacuum, no other controlled conditions for "perfect".
Still, the difference among people's fall rate wouldn't be significantly different. All bets are off when the body wing-suits are used.
Ordinary algebra works.
Mass doesn’t matter.
So first of all she never reached terminal velocity. So the equation is sqrt(2*304/9.8) or 7.88 seconds.

Its worse than that.
The mountain doesn’t even KNOW if you live or die.
Typically beautiful European landscape.
Only thing missing is LNG.

But wind resistance does!
Terminal velocity is affected by the surface area. Pitt she didn’t have on a glide suit.

Re: weather... wait 10 min.
At the start of a climb it was 70 deg... Half way up, staring at the bottom, I saw my helmet and leather jacket on my motorcycle. Then it snowed.
One of those ‘Ah $hit’ moments.
Is she African or European?
In a vacuum.
That fall took 7.8842818533545 seconds. Velocity on impact = 172.95631853346 mph.
Give or take ...
