Amen.
Yup... did my last jump in 2001.
Sadly the old lady got it right when she said “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”.
I’m before (or after)sympathy less drawin and stupid games comments from basement dwellers
Sympathy is so expensive an emotion
It served Reinhold Messner well enuff
It’s named for the mineral found there more than most abundant rock found there which I believe
Much of the surface Rock is excellent for climbing
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinhold_Messner
I get your point from the name of the range but much of it is volcanic basalt actually
It’s a hugely popular climbing range like Tetons or Yosemite
It's what young manly men do, both playing with danger and proving their exceptional worth to a female genetic lottery winner. For young women, not so much. She did ultimately get to meet one of two very wealthy and wise billionaires that is interested in spending eternity with her.
The Truden / Trodena Faultline separates the realm of dark porphyry from the world of light-gray dolomite – the basic substance of the world-famous South Tyrolean Dolomites.
-From a touristic brochure I was working on last week.
(Of course, Filtre is located in a neighboring province.)
Regards,
The differences in minerals, are what make the outdoors some of the most grand creations of the lord.
And people should get outdoors to experience them and broaden their view of life.
However outdoors people should be aware, advised, encouraged and trained to hike safely, and record those hikes safely.
It is hard to read about these losses.
Are used to climb a little buck in the San Juan‘s and the Tetons and glacier Park but I was nothing special at all I was more of a backpacker that climbed rock on occasion when I was a 70s hippie from Mississippi we also did some climbing in Jasper and Banff
I’m no expert on rock but I’m a big fan of Reinhold Messner he’s like a rockstar Ta’amu sort of like Alex Honnold is today which by the way I pray Alex quit climbing because he will get killed eventually
The dolomites much like the Fitzroy range in Patagonia or glacier Park are special very very pretty the people who live there a route fortunate to have such beauty surrounding them plus they have good Italian food if they live on the southern side and friendly people lol
It’s like when you go to Lugano
It’s a whole Nother world from Zürich the personality of the people you know Italian Swiss I guess you can tell I like Italians whether they are in Mississippi or Bensonhurst or Rome or Palermo they are usually warm people
And Swiss, ... in Switzerland.
And French, ... in France.
However I cut 'em no slack for the decisions they make in running their own nations. They get the government and society they asked for, and no sympathy from me.
Also, I will not tolerate ANY of 'em coming here with their brilliant Cultural "Superiority" and Elitist "Knowledge" in How To Run America Correctly.
They can mind their own business, and I'll try to neuter the American Socialist Left so they can't pull the same crap in those same nations.
I'll respect Foreign laws and shut up when I'm there, they can do the same here.

Liquefied Nat Gas.
Actually, it’s not that they have no fear of death, it’s that they will often take ridiculous risks for a selfie to post on social media. Wikipedia has a page that lists all the deaths that have been attributed to selfie-taking-gone-wrong; it’s sad, but it also leaves you shaking your head that people can be so dumb.
