Biden backers brace for Hunter Biden revelations ahead of GOP investigations

resident Biden’s backers are laying the groundwork to discredit and downplay any forthcoming revelations from Hunter Biden’s laptop after House Republicans announced plans to launch a federal investigation last week.

Ron Filipkowski, a former Republican and now ardent Democrat who pledged this month that he will be "forever grateful" to President Biden for saving the country from a second Donald Trump term, issued a tweet thread Monday arguing that while he has admittedly "avoided" the Hunter Biden subject for "a long time," there is no evidence to tie the first son’s business dealings to the president.

"It’s quite clear that Hunter was a very serious drug addict that went completely off the rails and did a lot of crazy stuff," Filipkowski wrote. "It also seems clear that he frequently used his dad’s name and alleged connections to make money and gain access. If the point is to embarrass, humiliate, & trash Hunter, that won’t be hard. But who cares? The only thing that makes any of this relevant for a congressional inquiry is whether Joe Biden was directly involved or [benefited] financially from what Hunter was up to. That is the problem for them. On that score, the evidence is sorely lacking."

"From what I have seen, which is a lot, they are going to have an extremely difficult time tying Hunter’s activities to Joe, and if they fail to do that, it will backfire on them to waste so much time, resources and hype on an exercise to show that Hunter was a corrupt drug addict who leveraged his family name for his own benefit," he said.

Yesterday, Senator Johnson and discussed our joint investigation into the Biden family’s foreign financial entanglements. We reviewed much of our earlier work, and provided a brief preview of new material.

Today, we will give our second speech in our Biden Investigation series.

Once again, we’re going to make public and describe new financial records relating to Hunter Biden and his connections to the communist Chinese government.

Most of that focus will be on his connections to CEFC, a company that’s effectively an arm of the Chinese Government.

But first, we must go back to 2015.

At that time, Hunter Biden served on the board of Burisma and was paid tens of thousands of dollars each month. Its owner was a corrupt Russia-aligned Ukrainian oligarch. But, that’s not all that Hunter Biden was up to.

In that year, CEFC International announced an agreement with Northern International Capital Holdings.

Northern International is incorporated in China. It’s involved in the energy sector.

One of Ye Jianming’s companies was the majority shareholder for CEFC International.

Northern International purchased $123 million worth of CEFC’s shares binding the two companies together.

We must also mention Hudson West Three and its financial connections to CEFC.

Hunter Biden was an investor and a manager for Hudson West Three. He was tasked with advancing its interests.

Hudson West Three also involved Chinese nationals connected to the communist regime, such as Gongwen Dong, whom I talked about yesterday.

Now, let’s look at this first poster. And I should note that Senator Johnson and I will make these documents public in full. We’re providing snapshots for these speeches.

Here, we have one portion of an LLC Agreement from a bank. It shows the companies that have bound themselves together: Hudson West Five, Hudson West Three and Owasco, Hunter Biden’s firm.

Now, let’s turn to the second poster. The paragraph at the top shows the purpose for which the LLC Agreement exists.

So, what this tells us is that Hunter Biden and James Biden linked up with companies connected to the communist regime to assist them with finding projects for global and domestic infrastructure and energy.

And as we know from my and Senator Johnson’s report from last Congress, some energy project explorations between the Biden Family and China were here in the United States.

One example is a multi-million-dollar natural gas project in Louisiana.

Let’s move to the next paragraph at the bottom, which defines the word “Affiliate” in the Agreement.

“For the avoidance of doubt, CEFC China Energy Company Limited or any of its Affiliates shall be deemed as an Affiliate of Hudson.”

Accordingly, this Agreement between Hunter Biden’s firm and Hudson West Three and Five directly connects Hunter Biden to CEFC.

So, was this agreement executed?

Let’s look at this third poster, which contains a signature block executing the agreement.

Here you see Hunter Biden’s signature with Gongwen Dong. As previously noted, Gongwen was an associate of Ye Jianming. Both men were connected to the communist regime including its military elements.

Notably, Hunter Biden worked for Ye Jianming to get him involved in the natural gas project in Louisiana. It eventually fell through.

Now, let’s bring up a fourth poster labeled a Joinder Agreement relating to the LLC Agreement.

Again, Hunter Biden is signing with Gongwen Dong with respect to the LLC Agreement.

Accordingly, we can now conclude the following: Hunter Biden was financially connected to CEFC, a company that was an arm of the communist Chinese regime, for the purpose of advancing its energy interests.

This Agreement shows two additional findings: First, Hunter Biden’s responsibility to advance Hudson West Three’s interests as of August 2, 2017. Second, Hunter Biden’s close association with Hudson West Three, CEFC and its affiliates as of August 2, 2017.

That date is important, as you’ll soon see.

“Further credit to Owasco PC.” The underlying wire data shows that it went to Owasco, Hunter Biden’s firm.
Senator Johnson and I have years of bank records that show multiple one hundred and $65,000 wire transfers from Hudson West Three to Owasco.

Joe and Hunter shared a joint bank account while Joe was VP (and possibly even today, who knows?).

They payed each others bills out of the account. Hunter wrote checks for Joe’s mortgage and utility bills.

U.S banks filed over 100 Suspicious Activity Reports - SARs with the U.S. Treasury - about financial transactions by Hunter Biden, and even some on other (unspecified) members of the Biden family.

FIRST ON FOX: Hunter Biden was instrumental in helping a Rosemont Seneca Partners client and Democratic donor secure an event at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., after networking with one of the top officials at the embassy during a January 2011 luncheon hosted by then-Vice President Biden, according to emails reviewed and verified by Fox News Digital.

Those emails show that Hunter and his former business partner, Eric Schwerin, helped Marvin Lang, the managing director of Guardian Realty in Maryland, plan a dinner with the Chinese Embassy’s minister, Deng Hongbo, on April 28, 2011, which was later touted on China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.

Planning for the event appears to have started in December 2010 after Lang, who has donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democrats, emailed Hunter thanking him for meeting him for lunch and saying he was “excited” to form a “long relationship” with Rosemont, Hunter and Schwerin’s now-defunct investment firm. Guardian bills itself as a “fully integrated real estate investment company that develops, redevelops, acquires, manages, operates, and owns a portfolio A-/B+ commercial office space,” according to their website.

After some back-and-forth discussion between Hunter, Schwerin and Lang about possible venues for the event, Hunter emailed Schwerin on Jan. 12, 2011, saying, “Marvin wants to know where we are in on finding space for the dinner— Chinese embassy is his #1 choice.”

One week later, Schwerin sent an email to Lang that cc’d Hunter, saying Hunter had a lunch that included the “number three official” at the Chinese Embassy and that he could be “helpful” in securing the location for the Guardian Realty dinner.

“[I] just talked to Hunter and he said he sat with the number three official at the Embassy today at lunch and has contact information to follow up after the [Chinese] President has left the U.S.,” Schwerin wrote. “Hunter’s said his contact will be helpful, but the Minister won’t be able to focus on this until after the delegation has left at the end of the week. Sounds like this is the right contact though.”

Based on emails and news articles reviewed by Fox News Digital, the lunch that Schwerin is referring to in the email was the luncheon that then-Vice President Biden and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hosted for Hu Jintao, China’s president at the time, in the State Department’s Benjamin Franklin Room on Jan. 19, 2011.

One of the emails that Schwerin sent to Hunter late at night the night before the luncheon said that Hunter was sitting at the same table as Ron Klain, who was the chief of staff for Vice President Biden until the end of January 2011 and is currently Biden’s chief of staff.
